Kris Aquino, ABS-CBN’s queen of talk has announced Tuesday, May 18, 2010 that she will be leaving her 2 showbiz oriented talk-show. Her decision of leaving The Buzz and SNN came after a meeting with her 3 sisters, Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, Pinky Aquino-Abellada, and Viel Aquino-Dee. Kris told that she wanted to spare his brother Noynoy Aquino (who is currently leading the race for presidency) from the intrigues of show business.
Kris will leave the show SNN on June 25, 2010 and The Buzz on June 27, 2010, she clarified that although she would leaving these 2 programs it doesn’t mean that she will permanently abandon showbiz.

The 19-year old daughter of actress Jacklyn Jose and Mark Gil will star in the newest ABS-CBN prime time show Agua Bendita. Andi Eigenmann will be the freshest face that we’ll be seeing on primetime starting February 8, 2010.
Although coming from a long line of noted showbiz family, Andi is still a newbie in showbiz. Agua Bendita will also star Jason Abalos, Matteo Gudicelli, Vina Morales, and many more.

For the third time, sexy actress/comedienne Ruffa Mae Quito will again grace the covers of FHM Philippines for February 2010. Ruffa Mae previously posed for the covers of FHM Philippines on its January 2001 and April 2003 issues.
The 31-year old Kapuso star recently played as Manny Pacquiao’s leading lady in the movie “Wapakman” an official entry to the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Ruffa Mae is a regular in GMA-7′s shows like Darna, Bubble Gang & Showbiz Central.
FHM Philippines’ Valentine’s issue is now available nationwide.

Actress Rica Peralejo married her non-showbiz boyfriend Pastor Joe Joe Bonifacio in a beach wedding celebration at the shores of Kawayan Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas.
The ceremony was attended by the couple’s close family and friends, the 28-year old actress and her minister boyfriend had their first kiss in their 2 year relationship. The couple had decided to abstain from physical contact and intimacy until they get married.

Kapuso artist Krissa Mae Arrieta (Krista Arrieta Kleiner in real life) is one of the finalist for the 2010 Binibining Pilipinas Beauty Pageant. This former GoBingo girl has been a regular face in the Kapuso network, she appeared on the GMA primetime soaps like Gagambino, All About Eve and Darna. She also is a regular dancer/singer at GMA’s Sunday noontime show SOP.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) issued a 20-days preventive suspension on ABS-CBN’s daily talent show “Showtime” for the controversial statement made by it’s judge Rosanna Roces last January 7.
On the said episode, Osang asked the contestants from Calamba, Laguna about the National hero, Jose Rizal and when the contestant wasn’t able to answer the question, she said, “Murahin mo yung teacher mo, ha! Ako minura ko yung teacher ko nung hindi niya sinagot sa akin ‘yan. Oo, walanghiya ‘yang mga teacher na ‘yan, hindi sinasabi yung totoo sa atin, e! Ikaw taga-roon ka hindi mo alam.”
Roces also added, “Pero mga kabataan, huwag kayong makuntento sa itinuturo ng libro at ng teacher. Magtatanong po kayo, hindi masama iyon. Oo, dahil ang mga teachers, they were just repeaters. Itinuturo nila kung ano ang itinuro sa kanila. Hindi na nila itinuturo kung ano ang gustong malaman ng mga bata.”

It seems that controversy will continue to hound Krista Ranillo this new year, after being linked to Manny Pacquiao, Krista is again under hot water, rumors of her being rumored as pregrnant.
Arnold Vegafria denied that his 25-year old talent is pregnant, he said that the rumors of Krista being pregnant was all lies. He also said that his talent is currently taping an action scene on an ABS-CBN teleserye ‘Agimat.’ Vegafria also added that Krista Ranillo signed an endorsement contract that states that she can’t be pregnant.
