Iza Calzado denied rumors that she’s dating the President.
Iza told in an interview with GMA-7′s “24 Oras” that she was merely introduced to the president during [fellow Kapuso artist] Ogie Alcasid’s birthday party .
“I was introduced to the president during Kuya Ogie’s birthday party and the last time I checked, there was nothing wrong with that, di ba?” she said.
Iza added, “That does not equate to dating.”
While honored to have met the president, Calzado said she’s embarrassed about rumors linking her to Pnoy.
“As a matter of fact I was honored to have the opportunity to talk to him. But I have not heard from him or seen him after that. So all of these things eh medyo nakakahiya nga. I don’t know what to feel but it’s not true that we are dating,” she explained.
Iza Calzado also said she’s not yet ready to date as of moment. She recently broke up with her longtime boyfriend Atticus King.
“With all due respect to the president, it’s just I came from a relationship and I’m not there. I’m not ready to entertain anyone at this point,” she said.
In a previous interview with “24 Oras,” Alcasid himself clarified that Iza and President Aquino did not know each other prior to his party.
