The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) issued a 20-days preventive suspension on ABS-CBN’s daily talent show “Showtime” for the controversial statement made by it’s judge Rosanna Roces last January 7.

On the said episode, Osang asked the contestants from Calamba, Laguna about the National hero, Jose Rizal and when the contestant wasn’t able to answer the question, she said, “Murahin mo yung teacher mo, ha!

Oo, dahil ang mga teachers, they were just repeaters.

The suspension was not fully acceptable to ABS-CBN, the network is about to file an appeal before the Court of Appeals.

Showtime is being hosted by Vhong Navarrro and Anne Curtis, it will be temporarily replaced by a new show called Magpasikat, which will feature celebrities showcasing their talents.
